Pictures from AMC 2008 (1 of ?)

Okay. I managed to take 210 pictures while I was at the conference. None of them are of the workshop Ras and I presented, but they're still cool. I decided to make my first post of the people who were at the conference.

(Ab0ve) Ras checking out the conference schedule the first day. It's not easy to read, but that's the AMC2008 banner above him. (Below) Same morning, us showing off our NDN shirts!

(Above) Ras and I standing in from of the Brooklyn 2 Palestine mural. That mural's gonna be sent to Palestine with a delegation (that might include us) in the winter.

(Above and Below) Ras being cool.

And.....

(Above) Shwain: this dude is the youngest staff-member in a bad-ass youth org in Ann Arbor (?). And he's pretty bad-assed himself. (Below) Some 'utes showing off their moves.

These next two are from the tour I went on the last day. They are the people I went on the Environmental Justice tour with.

(Above) Hmm . . . I don't know their names past the woman on the far right (Marcia). But that dude in the pink was hella cool. We were waiting for something next to the Tiger Stadium. (Below) The group after we came back from checking out Detroit's incinerator. (More about that in the following posts.)

This was the coolest conference I've ever been to. I'll be posting more pictures later. (ha! don't want to whip it all out too soon!) Like I said, I took 210 photos, but only 60 made it past the cutting room floor.
